Seabass is a fish that doesn’t need a lot to taste good. For a seabass recipe in the oven, just some spices, lemon, and good quality olive oil, and you are on your way to a delicious baked seabass recipe.
My husband loves fish, so I try to make it at least twice a week. It’s good for the health not to eat too much red meat as well. Seabass fish is my favorite fish to cook because it’s delicious and so easy. You just season it and baked the seabass for twenty minutes and it’s done. I like to put vegetables with it, so that once it’s finished baking, I have a complete meal to serve.
I’ve experimented making seabass several ways (i.e., with lemon butter sauce, with beurre blanc) but in the end, I’ve stuck with my regular fish spice seasoning blend, lemon, and olive oil. I find that combination to be the best way to highlight the deliciousness of fresh seabass. I’ve always believed that when you have fresh quality ingredients, you don’t need so much to make it delicious. You don’t need to mask anything. You just highlight it. If you can’t find a fish spice blend in your market, you can order one from Amazon.
Seabass is my favorite fish. I love it better than salmon. I can actually get tired eating salmon, but I can never get tired of seabass. Here in our neighborhood market, you can only buy fish whole. So I buy an entire seabass and have it fileted into several pieces. My husband complains with eating salmon all the time (i.e., it’s salmon again?!?) but if I serve seabass more than twice a week, he’s fine with it. It’s that good.
For my vegetables, I microwave the carrots and potatoes for 5 minutes first, because I want them par-baked when I bake them with the fish. This way, I can put them all together, and once the fish is baked (no longer than 15 to 20 minutes), the hardy vegetables that I have are also done. This is a meal that will take you no more than 30 minutes from start to finish. Enjoy!
