Wordle has taken the world by storm. If you’re a word game lover like me, you’ve probably heard of Wordle. Many articles have already talked about what the best words are to start with in Wordle based on studies. I don’t have any study, but I only have my experience and logic to base on.
For me, the best words to start with in Wordle are “ideal” and “mousy.” Why? There is a logic behind this. It is rare for a word not to have a vowel. The word “ideal” already knocks off three vowels. The next word “mousy” knocks off another two vowels and “y”, a pseudo-vowel. With this, you’re likely to already have an idea of what word is there.
In the example above, once you input “ideal” and “mousy,” you already know you have the letters A, L, and O. Now, it’s just a matter of jumbling the letters to find a word. I put in “talon” which gave me another four letters correct, but in the wrong place. After a bit of thinking and jumbling, I came up with “aloft” in the next stage, which was correct.
It becomes very easy once you can see the logic behind it and really think about the placement of the letters. It’s not a hard and fast rule, but for me and in my experience, “ideal” and “mousy” are the best words to start in Wordle.
